What Was the Problem is Now the Answer!

Here is an article from CNNMoney.com featuring the Doddger threatening to legislate that banks lend. Isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place, the government forcing banks to make loans that they would not have made without the pressure? And we are supposed to believe that the cause of the problem is now the solution?
